“I’ve calmed down a lot in the last few years. I used to be the kid who always got in trouble; I was kicked out of high school and moved to a charter school. Riding has helped me get out of trouble and get a focus. It brought me out of the group of friends I was in and gave me a goal.

“I spent the last two years in Spain racing. It’s nice to be back in the states now. I’ve missed my family. When we were little, I was the mean older brother who pantsed his younger brother. But as we’ve gotten older, we’ve gotten super close. Now, I feel a responsibility toward them.

“While I race, I’m working on my nursing degree. Right now I’m getting all of the pre-requisites done so that I can get into the program. So in between riding, I’m studying and taking classes online.”
