Kyle J. Cassas, M.D., is a Primary Care Sports Medicine specialist with the Greenville Health System and Steadman Hawkins Clinic of the Carolinas located in Greenville, SC. His focus and expertise include the non-operative care of orthopedic, musculoskeletal conditions and sports injuries encountered in athletes of all levels. His professional interests include endurance athletes, concussion, sports nutrition, and injury prevention.
Kyle earned his medical degree from the University of Nevada and completed his surgical internship at Parkland Memorial Hospital in Dallas, Texas. He then completed further residency training in family medicine at St Paul Hospital, followed by fellowship training in Primary Care Sports Medicine at Methodist Hospitals of Dallas in 2002.
Kyle moved to the Upstate in 2005 to join the Steadman Hawkins/Greenville Health System team. Kyle has also served as medical director of the GHS Athletic Training Network and as team physician for a variety of teams, as well as race physician and medical director of the US PRO Cycling Championships held in Greenville, S.C.
