Team Wins in China

The team just finished up The Tour of China, the first of two stage races in China. Up against strong, international fields, these races are the final test of the team’s development for year. We are happy to report that the team has not only been able to ride at the level of the other teams, but they have the fitness, teamwork and skills to be competitive. And they emphasized that on Stage Six by setting Ty Magner up for a spectacular win. Director Thomas Craven tells how all played out.

"It was the last stage so we looked over the race route and paid special attention to the final 10k run into the finish. We marked all the final turns and bridges and tried to figure out the elevation changes and turns with the different bridges, turns and roundabouts. We knew we were going to come down off a bridge, exit to the right and then make a sharp left almost a U turn to the finish. Ty and the team amassed at the front and shot the gap at the front of the field, made the U turn at the front and let Ty loose, he instantly had a 100m gap so he kept on going."

(A video of Ty's win can be found here.)

The team gets a couple of days off from racing before they start their next race. We'll keep you posted on their successes. After this final stage race, the boys fly home where they’ll be able to take some well-earned time off.
